
A man named Bryan Brooks, a Baylor University researcher and professor, and his colleague Kevin Chambliss recently caught some fish in rivers where wastewater treatment plants release treated sewage in Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Orlando. They also tested fish from New Mexico’s Gila River Wilderness Area, which is isolated from human sources of pollution.
The results were at the 5 U.S sites the fish had trace concentrations of seven drugs and two soap scent chemicals in their livers. Read more…
