Seasons Change

A rare winter break hit my neck of the woods this last week.  The sun came out and I saw people actually abandoning heavy coats and sweaters, scarves and hats.  For a brief time the hill trails were full of folks stretching their legs and giving the old lungs a work out.  Perfectly natural.  Read more…

Pssst…You Wanna Buy a Book of Poetry?

A friend and I were talking the other day as we cruised through a book store.  Talking with a fellow educator, in a book store, surrounded by everything books is no easy task.  It’s the adult version of being a kid in a candy store surrounded by playful puppies.  We were not even really listening to each other as we babbled on, each of us trying to decide which books we would buy and which one to read first.

Valuable Stuff

So, I just moved from California to Nevada and brought all my stuff with me.  Makes sense, right?  I mean, it’s my stuff.

I brought all my stuff.  Stuff I haven’t used in years.  Stuff I need and use everyday.  Stuff that I used to use and may use again tomorrow.  And some of the stuff I couldn’t figure out if I needed so I decided to pack and decide later.  Well, later has arrived. Read more…
