The news-worthy issue of the H1N1 flu keeps popping up in print, radio, TV and on the internet. This rather hearty strain of flu, called the Swine Flu, has already killed hundreds of folks across America and in California alone nearly 4000 confirmed cases have been reported, with nearly 1000 requiring hospitalization. This is no ordinary flu. Because it is relatively new humans have no known immunities to the flu and it is easily passed from person to person. The World Health Organization declared in June of this year that the Swine Flu has “Pandemic” status. That’s world-wide folks.

Did you know that there are certain foods that you can eat to speed up your metabolism? Well according to this article that I found on Yahoo “the food that you eat makes up 5 to 10 percent of your metabolic rate.” Most foods that speed up your metabolism are:
• Vegetables – spinach, broccoli, carrots, asparagus and more.
