Resource Action Programs was a major sponsor for this year’s Youth Energy Summit (YES). We attended the show in Sacramento yesterday (Wednesday, April 22) – Earth Day - in support of conservation education for youth, as well as to support Lodi Electric Utility, Roseville Electric and Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). I’ve heard of the Environmental Protection Agency and I assumed they are what their name states. But, did you know that they are more than just developing and enforcing regulations to protect our environment.
The EPA gives almost half of their budget in grants for projects, scientific studies, education and state programs. They study every aspect of environmental problems and work with other countries to come up with solutions and learn more. Read more…

Dealing with energy and natural resource conservation on a day in, day out basis we rattle off words like “VOCs”, “Alternative Energy” and “Carbon Footprint” with little thought.
