H1N1 Swine Flu and You

The news-worthy issue of the H1N1 flu keeps popping up in print, radio, TV and on the internet.  This rather hearty strain of flu, called the Swine Flu, has already killed hundreds of folks across America and in California alone nearly 4000 confirmed cases have been reported, with nearly 1000 requiring hospitalization.  This is no ordinary flu.  Because it is relatively new humans have no known immunities to the flu and it is easily passed from person to person.  The World Health Organization declared in June of this year that the Swine Flu has “Pandemic” status.  That’s world-wide folks.

A New Look at The Space Race

I’m all for America going back to the Moon.  I like the idea of exploring its mysteries and especially the idea of perhaps bringing back some of the last 50 years worth of Earth trash just left abandoned on the Moon’s surface.  Space junk like rocket stages, landing platforms, intentionally crashed experiments and satellites, the occasional golf ball, and at least two Moon-buggies are still on the Moon.  America and the old USSR take credit for the vast majority of Earth debris on the Moon. If we could get it there, we should be able to bring it back. Yes, I like the science and challenge of returning to the Moon, cleaning it up a little, and using it as a base for exploring the universe.  The idea has just always grabbed me.  Until now.

Worlds Most Awesome RV Is Green

Anyone who knows me knows I’m big into the outdoors. Well, I’m big IN the outdoors too but that’s beside the point. Brian Brawdy is also big into the outdoors and he’s also big into being green. That’s why he travels across the country educating kids and adults alike just how green RVing is.

I must say his RV is awesome and totally makes me want one.
