In January, San Jose, Ca installed the first electric vehicle chargepoints on E. Santa Clara St, and on S. 4th Street. It’s very exciting to see innovation actually making it to major metropolitan areas. It’s been talked about for years, but to see it finally being implemented is a huge step!
Coulomb Technologies recently installed the first charging station in San Jose, California. Their Chargepoint features an ingenious design that is easily connected to an existing streetlamp and provides access to the municipal energy grid. Read more…

If you’re drinking a Pepsi product while you’re reading this odds are you’re using products by two of the greenest companies in the U.S. In a report released by the Center for Resource Solutions, the nonprofit that administers the third-party certification for green energy, U.S. firms purchased more green energy last year than in previous years with Pepsi and Intel taking the lead. Green is the way to go in business today but are we doing enough? A recent study released by Greenbiz.com shows clear progress in water use, energy efficiency, clean energy patents, investments in clean tech and recycling of paper but a backslide in how businesses are dealing with carbon emissions, electronic waste and telecommuting by employees.
