A friend and I were talking the other day as we cruised through a book store. Talking with a fellow educator, in a book store, surrounded by everything books is no easy task. It’s the adult version of being a kid in a candy store surrounded by playful puppies. We were not even really listening to each other as we babbled on, each of us trying to decide which books we would buy and which one to read first.

Along with Walmart and H&M, Borders is now trashing their unsold merchandise! Borders plans to trash tens of thousands of books as over 200 Waldenbooks locations close at the end of January!
I don’t know about you, but hearing that makes me a little miffed to say the least! Lower book prices, transfer them to other open locations, donate them to public libraries, charities, or other non-profit groups. Heck, give them away if they are just going to go in the trash anyway. But DONT THROW THEM AWAY!!!! Read more…
