With 2 kids, my household seems to go through a ton of drink pouches & juice boxes. At the start of the school year we received a flyer asking us to bring in our used juice pouches so they could be converted into pencil bags & backpacks. My daughter’s school had joined the Drink Pouch Brigade™ program. Each year billions of drink pouches end up in landfills because they cannot be recycled. The company TerraCycle teamed up manufactures to create free programs that collect non-recyclable packaging which they upcycle into new products. Its surprising to see how many drink pouches the school collects each week. The kids are saving the pouches from taking up space in landfills and receiving a $.02 donation for each drink pouch they collect. Join the brigade!
