On Earth 911 I found a list of ways to green back to school. Here are a couple of things that were on the list:
1. Don’t Overbuy
Try and take a look at what you already have in stock from last year before you go out and buy all new stuff. This will not only save on waste but money too.
2. Purchase Recycled
You could try buying a backpack made from juice packets or buy paper that says it is recycled paper. You can find green items like this at Office Max and Target.
3. Monitor Electronics
For school it is imperative to have a computer, scientific calculator and printers all of which use batteries or electricity. So try and purchase rechargeable batteries and buy a smart power strip.
