Flush Puppies

Since I know how much we all love dogs, I thought this post would be appropriate.  There are flushable doggie doo bags that are 100% biodegradable and water soluble so they can be flushed down the toilet.  So why not just throw the dog poop in the trash? According to Flush Puppies:

• The United State generates 210 million tons of trash per year.

• In a city of 100,000 people or 43 square miles, dogs can generate about two and a half tons of feces per day.

• A plastic bag can take up to 1000 years to decompose in a landfill.

I thought these would be ideal for people living in apartments who have to make quite a trip to the garbage anyways.  They are called Flush Puppies and can be purchased online by visiting their website.

Wow, it looks like dogs aren’t as environmentally unfriendly as some people might have thought, as long as their owners take the appropriate precautions.
