A few months ago, I blogged (here) about green not always being better – in particular to the use of cat litter. I had bad experiences where using “environmentally friendly,” all natural cat litter like the wheat or the pine, caused more bad than good. But, I vowed to try again before I gave up on the idea. And so I did. No dice.
I tried Yesterday’s News – made out of newspaper that is formed into little pellets (like rabbit food), as well as a second attempt at Feline Pine - made out of fine pine chips. Read more…

There is a new documentary that came out on June 8 which has been billed as ‘the Inconvenient Truth for Oceans’ by The Economist Magazine. Produced by the group Oceana and hosted by actor Ted Danson, the movie’s message is that we could face a complete collapse of all fisheries on the planet by 2048 if we continue at our current pace.
