According to Green America there are 10 things you should never buy again:
1. Styrofoam cups – they are not biodegradable
2. Paper towels – they fill up land fills and waste forest resources
3. Bleached coffee filters – during the bleaching process chemicals are formed that pollute groundwater and the air and are also linked to cancer in humans
4. Teak and mahogany – destroys the rain forests
5. Chemical pesticides and herbicides -can be threatening to animals and people, especially children
6. Conventional household cleaners -chemicals can release VOCs in your home
7. Toys made with PVC plastic -it’s the least recycled plastic and the chemical, vinyl chloride, used to make PVC is a known human carcinogen
8. Plastic forks and spoons -they are not biodegradable
9. Farm raised salmon -it contains PCB’s an other toxins
10. Rayon – a lot of it is made in developing counties with poorly enforced labor laws

Some of these things I would have never known that they were not good to use, such as the plastic forks and spoons, so thanks for the post.
