The Walt Disney Company just announced some goals they intend to make to reduce emissions, waste, electricity and fuel use, and its impact on water and ecosystems that are set to take place in the next 3-5 years. These are part of the 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report.

Some of the goals that Disney is trying to accomplish are reduce waste, reduce indirect greenhouse gas emissions from electricity consumption, minimize water use and minimize product footprint. This year alone the company intends to focus on the development of a comprehensive water conservation strategy, a corporate-wide green energy strategy and a comprehensive waste minimization strategy, along with several other ideas they hope to accomplish in the next few years.

I love Disney and Disneyland. I am glad to hear that they are trying to be more efficient and conserve some resources. Maybe it will give them less negative associations.
This is great! Like Katrina, I love Disneyland (I was even born in Anaheim). It scares me to the point where I don’t even really want to know how much energy theme parks use every day, not just Disneyland.
